Experience of introduction of modern art in the practice of street portraiture.
Marina Sokolovskaya in his article in the journal Zaart, wrote that my co-temporary "crafts for the language" is out of date. Perhaps she was right ... But if you look on the other side: the co-temporary drawing reveals the very essence of modern art. The essence of modern art lies in the phenomenon of time. This is something which up to a certain point in time it could not be, but after a certain point it might appear. (Prior to the green form it was one, and after the green was another, until the blue color in the timeline - blue in the figure could not be, and then he appeared).
Before the advent of bio-bio-art technologies could not be, as it appeared after the emergence of these technologies. In 2004, the bio-art was the most modern trend in art. True to practice bio-art need to access in the lab. But without a theoretical knowledge of this access is not important.
In 2004, I, just in case he studied biochemistry and biotechnology. Then in the street portraiture I tried to explain it all their models. Very often, I explained to them the difference between the condensed and de-fused chromosomes. Sometimes, I told them that they would have been if they had been genetically modified rabbits and they would paint, some sort of Eduardo Kac. Once namesake Katz asked me to paint a similar portrait. I drew. He liked this. (This is probably genetic).
Typically, the public begins to draw in the evening. (Twilight associated with dying, portrait with the continuation of life). Draw in the dark is difficult. Now, if the model would glow like a genetically modified rabbits, night portrait painter we would have been easier.
The first chromosomal portrait was painted at the fair in Belinsky library. It was a portrait artist from FUTURE7 group. I just installed in the portrait as if the installation image of condensed chromosomes.
Chromosomes are found in two states - condensed - A and de-fused - B. A chromosome can be seen EVEN RECOGNIZE IF THEY PAINTED. B chromosome - it's a long thread that impossible to see (because their thickness is less than LIGHT WAVES), they can only see the scrutinizing in bioform (ALL FORMS OF LIFE - the result of interaction of B-chromosomes).
As a result, chromosome painting portraits, I realized that if the image A-chromosomes installed in portrait image, each line in the portrait, each bar will turn into an image of B-chromosomes. De-fused chromosomes can not be seen, but you can see the result of their interaction. After drawing the portrait is just a set of lines that we, through our genotype perceive as an image of their own kind.
In 2004, I did not paint portraits for money chromosome. On the reverse side of their genetic work in '97, I drew a genetically perfect portraits of beautiful girls and athletes for their future exhibitions in Belinsky library.
Chromosomal portraits of very beautiful girls served me as an advertisement. And I was constantly asked: "If they chromosome, then why are they colored?" The audience confused my chromosomal portraits monohromnymi.A when I started to talk about genetics, looked at me with suspicion. The majority of the Russian public, in spite of the school curriculum, it is believed that genes found only in GMO Biotechnology ... we have a vague and hazy prospects. For the digital technology to thrive and grow. So I decided to switch to bio-art on Digital Art.
My hope is to expose the chromosome portraits in the library of Belinsky was not justified. Marina Sokolovskaya said she could not put my work, because I do not support the large corporations.
